I taught for 13 yrs and had enough of the stress the school district put me
under, so I followed a dream I always wanted to do. I took $100.00 out of my last
paycheck and started a Pride business in 2002. While I was growing up and when I finally came out of the closet
there was nothing here for me or our extremely large gay community here in the
Central Valley of Visalia, California. I have ran this business for the last 6yrs
on-line, in store and out doing festivals. My main goal with this business is to get the products out there, to
help give information, to provide a positive & clean atmosphere, and to educate
the general community on who we really are. We have grown from $100 in
stickers to a large selection of stickers, jewelry and lots of
novelties. In Jan, 05 I teamed up with another pride
store in Brisbane, Australia called Our House In Oz owned by Debby
Tuffin. In Oct. 06 Our House In Oz and OutSide The Lines merged and
OutSide The Lines Australia was created to go along with OutSide The
Lines in America. We have been able to combine businesses, doubled
our inventory and found new manufactures to bring new products in.
Debby and I became business partners, then in Aug. 07
life partners.
